MORE BEAUTIFUL

At 07:32 am the sun is already shining into the tents. Of course, we don’t have blinds, and the light comes in from all sides. So we soon get going.

Minairons and Sergi, the forest engineer for this area of Cerdanya, have done the orientation and community service. Meanwhile we have been building huts, jumping, observing, thinking and trying to stop the stream that runs through the camp. Having a stream at home is great fun. We ended the day exhausted.

Junior Adventure cycled to the Estanys de la Pera. What a pleasure to swim in this natural pool! We took advantage of the warm weather in the morning.

The orientation race tested the Bold Adventure group. We have clear references to the mountains, the valley, the sun… but when you go into the forest… How do we orientate ourselves?

Wild Adventure had a full day, descending by mountain bike from the campsite to the Vall de la Llosa, swimming in the Salt del Molí, and horse riding at the 4 Potes Equestrian Centre in Prullans. We return to the camp by bus.

Big Bike reconnaissance of the surroundings, to start with we took our picnic and spent the whole day outdoors, discovering this rugged terrain, with steep slopes, but good grip, as long as we don’t ride over wet roots. Rules on how to ride in a group. And we are impressive, we are a bunch of 29 bikers including the bike leaders!

Beginner’s Horse Riding we go to get the horses in the meadow next to the campsite. A good walk with a better present: to meet our partner for the whole week. We go up to the campsite and, calmly, we make contact with these big animals. Little by little we gain confidence, the first smiles.

In the evening, during dinner, we share our experiences. “We cycled through…” And those on horseback: “When Nalec started to trot, everyone was excited…”
After so many experiences, in all the camps we understand the same thing: helping each other makes everything easier. Give me your hand, don’t be afraid of anything, walk together, life is more beautiful.

PS: The Trekking 7×7 started earlier than the others, according to the scheduled time we left on the Transcerdanya bus which dropped us off at the old alpine ski resort of Puigmal 2000. It was here that our special adventure began. We are going to cross the whole Puigmal massif, expecting to arrive in 2 days at the Coma de Vaca Refuge, already in Ripollès.
